Abdulkaf Teyib Kedir, 46, is a coffee farmer in West Arsi, Nensebo woreda, Nensebo Chebi kebele, Oromia. He has been in the coffee business for the last 17 years. He has 3 hectares of land and produces 11,700 kilograms of natural sun-dried coffee beans annually, processed on his farm. “I sell my coffee to local traders and have sustainable income,” Abdulkaf said.
Abdulkaf has never been involved in the export business. In the Cup of Excellence competition, his coffee scored 88.18, earning him 16th place. “I am very happy that my coffee is recognized and I will be able to trade internationally,” he said.
