Finca Canada Fria - Jose Daniel Cobilt Castro Finca las Canadas is named due to its location at 1350 meters above sea level, in the deep rainforest of the Madre Oriental mountain rage. The soil is of great quality with nutrients and humidity that favors coffee cultivation. So we only were in charge of looking for the most adecuate varieties like Typica, pacamara and yellow caturra. We have our own nursery so we dont bring soil from other zones as this can be a source of plagues or other contaminations. For avoiding erosion, we planted trees like encino, vanilla and dispepe. The cultivation is shadegrown. Harvest season begins in January, we select the most ripened cherries. We feel a lot of satisfaction and happiness. We are willing to improve for next year.
